We have Baby Alpacas at the Chalet Village! Join us to experience the newborn alpaca Babys and so much more during your summer holiday at Valsegg!
A sweetly sugar-coated surprise:
"Mom, Dad, how much longer?"
We’re almost there," Dad answers, turning a corner. I peer forward curiously. Our car drives along a forest path, and there they are – the beautiful chalets, made entirely of wood, appear right before our eyes. "Are we going to live here?" I ask, my heart pounding. Mom turns around, smiles, and whispers: "Yes! And guess what? There’s a huge surprise waiting!"
Welcome to our beautiful chalet village in Vals – the place where your summer holiday with the kids becomes an extra fluffy experience!
The ultimate summer Highlight: We have Baby Alpacas!
The moment we drop our bags, I’m already running. You see, I overheard Mom’s secret: just a few days ago, two tiny baby alpacas were born!
In love with the cute Baby Alpacas
I tiptoe very quietly up to the fence. And indeed: there they are, the two fluffy alpacas, taking their first steps on somewhat wobbly legs across the hay. They have huge, shiny button eyes, soft floppy ears, and noses that never stop sniffing. I am absolutely thrilled and head over heels in love with these little cuddly companions! Mom signs us up for the alpaca hike the next day, where we get to accompany the mother alpacas. I’m already so excited. This family holiday is going to be amazing!
Our own Chalet: Barefoot days and breakfast in pajamas
After saying our first hellos to the babies, we finally check into our luxury chalet. With all the wood, it reminds me a bit of a treehouse in the forest – just much bigger, more luxurious, and incredibly cozy.
A huge, private garden just for us
Our chalet has its very own private garden. My shoes fly straight into a corner, and I run barefoot right into the green grass! While Mom and Dad happily eye the hot tub on the terrace, I’m already doing my first somersaults. Nobody minds here if I laugh out loud or play tag.
The breakfast fairy knocks on the door
The next morning, I get to sleep in as long as I want. Still half-asleep, I hear a soft knock at the front door. When I walk downstairs, I find a beautifully set table bursting with delicacies: fresh bread, croissants, sweet strawberry jam, honey, salmon, various cheeses, fresh fruit, coffee for my parents, and warm cocoa for me. Finally, Mom and Dad come downstairs too, and we feast at the breakfast table for ages – all in our pajamas. No holiday has ever started this relaxed.
Farm life and secret forest adventures: Everything we experience here!
Dad says nature is the best playground. And after this awesome holiday, I completely agree with him.
Feeding animals at the Valsegg petting zoo
The alpacas aren't the only ones living in the Valsegg petting zoo. There are also donkeys, sheep, chickens, ducks, and ponies. The little rabbits and goats are my absolute favorites. Every day I fetch fresh grass for them – they nibble it right out of my hand, tickling my fingers.
Jumping in the hay, climbing, and fishing with the boss
A real highlight of our family holiday in Valsegg is fishing: Host Gregor shows us how to catch fish, and we have a great time joking about having to hunt for our own dinner. In the barn, there is a real climbing wall, and I can jump right into the fragrant hay! The forest starts just behind the chalets. Dad and I play Indians, collect sticks, build little shelters, and look for animals. We even spotted a squirrel! In the evening, we make stick bread over the large fire pit. The crackling fire warms my face and tastes like adventure!
Big mountain adventure: Riding the cable car to 2 Adventure Parks
A hiking day outside the chalet is a must. At first, I’m not super excited about Mom’s idea. But once we reach the mountain, the coolest destination in the Eisack Valley is waiting for us: the Gitschberg Sun Park and the Jochtal Adventure Park. Mom and Dad sit on the wooden sun throne to admire the mountain panorama while I try out the giant climbing igloo, the giant slide, and the sun telephone.
Chalet cuddles in the evening
All three of us are exhausted. Dad lights the fireplace, and the wood crackles. I snuggle up tight between Mom and Dad and watch the flames. Mom strokes my hair, and Dad reads a story. I close my eyes, thinking of the two cute baby alpacas that I’ll visit again first thing tomorrow morning.
